Chicken Parm

FullSizeRenderFor this post I made my favorite meal of all time; chicken parm. Chicken parm is my all time favorite meal that I will order out at any italian restaurant and request my mom make for my birthday. It’s pretty simple you just make your favorite type of pasta, mine is angel hair, bread your chicken and bake it with some cheese on top and throw in tomato sauce. I threw in a cucumber and tomato salad with pepper and balsamic dressing. If you’re looking for a great italian dish this is always a promising meal. If you’re a vegetarian you can substitute the chicken for eggplant and that really good as well.

Fat Burning Detox

fatburningdrink2It’s that time of year, the holidays. This time of the year I find myself eating everything and anything because all of the holiday food is so good. I usually try to find a fat burning detox that will help with all of the bad food i’m eating to balance it out. Right now I’m doing has apple cider vinegar, apples, cinnamon, and lemon juice. You mix together the apple cider vinegar, the cinnamon, and the lemon juice and then add the apples in and it’s ready to go. Apple cider vinegar is actually really good for you and has so many benefits. I always try out new detoxes and this one is actually pretty good. If you’re looking for something to try I definitely recommend this one!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Buffalo-Chicken-DipBuffalo Chicken dip is a great appetizer for either a party or a pre-dinner snack or for any occasion really. It feeds several people and tastes so good. I’m not a spicy person, I don’t really even like buffalo wings, but I love buffalo chicken dip. Stew Leonard’s has really good buffalo chicken dip if you don’t want to make it yourself. If you want to make it from home you take 8oz. of softened cream cheese and add half a cup of Franks Red Hot, or your favorite hot sauce. Then add a quarter of a cup of blue cheese, or ranch whichever you love, and mix together in a sauce pan over medium heat until cream cheese is melted and mixed together. Then add shredded rotisserie chicken or canned shredded chicken and mix it all together. Then put in the over until it’s hot and bubbly and it’s ready to go. It is always a popular snack with any type of chips whether it’s a tortilla chips, or a potato chip or even a pretzel.

Sushi

Sushi is one of my favorite meals and is pretty good for you. I actually don’t go a week without having it. I wish I could make it as good as I can get it from the place I sisal go to but I’m working on it. This video will help you learn how to make it. It is a little long but sushi isn’t exactly an easy process but it is definitely something cool to try if you have the time. 

Bark

10836449_10153394757008452_1254014273_nEveryone has their own bark recipe, it a super easy thing to make for a large crowd and always tastes so good. I’m learned about this bark from one of my mom’s friends at my brothers tailgate and fell in love with it. I ended up making it as a dessert t bring to a party I went to. You have to line a cookie sheet with tin foil and put Premium saltines down next to each other to the entire sheet is covered. Then melt 2 sticks of butter in a saucepan and mix in 2 cups of brown sugar. Once that is ready you can pour it over the saltines and bake it in the oven at 325 degrees for around 10 minutes or until it starts to bubble. Then pour 2 packages of semi-sweet chocolate chips on top and put it back in the oven for a couple minutes so they melt and spread them on top for the coating. Then you can sprinkle eminems on tops and put it in the freezer until you can rip the wax paper off so around 4 hours. I just let it sit in my garage for 4 hours and it was good to go. If you decide to break up the bark before taking the tin foil off you’ll have to take it off the individual pieces which I can’t imagine is very fun. Overall this is a great dessert recipe especially for a large crowd that I highly recommend!

Your average meal of Chinese food including fried rice, orange chicken, sweet and sour pork, and a spring roll is around 900 calories. With this, think twice before ordering Chinese next time, as good as it is.

We all get that sweet tooth and what is better than dipping into cookie dough that tastes better than the actual cookie and taking a spoon to a frosting container. Well if this is you try to refrain because in a container of frosting is 1930 calories, 850mg of sodium, 314g of carbs, and 292g of sugar. in a single serving, so one cookie worth, of cookie dough is 120 calories, 6g of fat, 95mg of sodium, 17g of cabs, and 10g of sugar.

I’ve put together a list of all the bad food to eat according to the calories and fat that are in them. Counting backwards, this will include 10-6 of worst foods to eat.

Guy Fieri Without His Trademark Look

You might also recognize him from his blonde spiky hair do and his signature goatee. He’s a star on Food Network and gets to eat the best foods. Recently I stumbled upon an image of him with out his trademark look and I’m not so sure I would recognize him without what seems to be a mask. After seeing this image of him, you will probably never be able to look at him the same way again. This is not a real image, it was photoshopped.

Egg In Bread

IMG_8624.JPGOne of my favorite things to do for breakfast is cook an egg in bread. For this I used multi grain bread from stop n shop that I really like but you can really use any kind. I find French bread is a really good type for this recipe. It’s so simple you actually just cook the egg inside the bread on the pan. I like to use the cut out of the bread and put that on the skillet too because it’s nice and crunchy, it’s my favorite part. The best part about this new is it takes probably 5 minutes and all you need is a price of bread an an egg and you’re set. Once again I used coconut oil spread for the bread because it’s better for you than better, and cooked it for about 5 minutes and it was done. I put some ketchup on the side because who doesn’t like ketchup with their eggs and it was a really good breakfast! <

Garlic Chicken

IMG_8638-0.JPG Garlic is one of my favorite flavors so any chance I get I try and incorporate it into my meals. I tried this amazing dinner with sautéed chicken and spinach over pasta with garlic and I added a decent amount of pepper. I found the recipe online and decided to try it out. It went really well. Used the chicken nugget size chicken that you buy at the store and cut those in half to sautée them and added a bag of spinach with the 6 cloves of garlic. I put it over Ronzoni vegetable pasta and I added parade an cheese and coconut oil for a light sauce to it had some flavor. I’ve been cooking with coconut oil a lot lately because it’s better for you than butter and I think it tastes good. This recipe is a great one if you’re looking for something on the healthier side. You can also substitute the pasta with broccoli and it would be even healthier.
